In the last week of September 2023, Prof. André Freitas joined a trip to Rio de Janeiro State together with André Tacioli, Augusto Rosa and Simeão Moraes. The destination was the Biological Reserve União (REBIO União) in Casimiro de Abreu municipality, in the lowlands of Rio de Janeiro State. Before getting there, the group made a quick stop at the Alto da Figueira Reserve, in Nova Friburgo, for a hiking through the amazing mountains of Atlantic Forest with Junia (from LABBOR) and Rafael (from ADF Reserve).
